Red Star Line/ Americian Line: Lapland Souvenir Napkin Ring.
Cute little souvenir napkin ring for the RSL Lapland. The Lapland was one of the work horses steamers that RSL schedule out of Antwerp (and eventually Liverpool) on regular voyages. Very intersting that this ring says Americian Line … certainly also part of the IMM … the Lapland must have been under charter the the AL at some point. I believe it was the Lapland that took Douglas Fairbanks and new bride Mary Pickford on part of their honeymoon journey. Nice enameled crest and I’m pretty sure the silver will polish up nicely.
Puerto Rico Line: Tiny China Creamer/Sauceboat
Darling little china creamer/sauceboat for a Puerto Rico line steamer . You do not see much for the Puerto Rico Line … and usually just tableware china … it’s great to see a tiny little serving piece. Great condition… no chips or cracks … there is a flaw in the glaze on the front side. Stamped Buffalo China.
Polish Shipbuilding 25 Year Medal.
A heavy bronze medal celebrating 25 years of Polish ship building 1952-1977. Great images on both sides … all it needs is a good rub a dub polish!
Sitmar Line: Travel Agency Brass award plaque
If you owned a travel agency and sold a lot of cruises or vacation destinations … you typically would be honored with some sort of plaque/ trophy for your efforts ( … maybe at times even a free cruise or trip). This is a huge heavy plaque for Sitmar Cruises. The brass Fairstar silhouette is HEAVY and solid and I believe the wooden plaque it is mounted to it Teak. Really interesting Travel agency item.
*** Very heavy item … shipping calculator may not be accurate, I will have to quote/ confirm shipping***
Karageorgis Lines: SS Navarino Library book.
Nice little library book called “A Vaca Proibida” by Lima Edy. The Navarino was the incarnation of SAL Gripsholm’s in her second life. She kept many of the same travel patterns and did lots of cruising. Nice little library book saved by a friend of mine when she was laid up in Tampa.
NCL: Norway at Le Harve 1996 Photo
It was a very special occasion with momentous celebration when the Norway visits Le Havre in 1996… this was her first time in her old home port since 1979. The French never wanted to give her up in the first place… but the Norwegians certainly gave her a long extended life as the Norway. … and always used the prestige of her storied past in their brochures. This is an original panoramic photo…artist signed.
US Steel Magazine Janurary 1937.
Nice little US Steel publication … mostly about different aspects of the Isthmian fleet that carried cargo all over the work. Excellent Fred Hoertz painting of the “Steel Traveler” on the front cover and Horetz painting of the fleet on the rear cover.
SS Silverstar deckplan
Cute little deckplan … for the puggy little Silverstar. She started life in the Military … and after WW2 was converted into a little cruise ship operating off the east coast of the US. She was pretty utilitarian and somewhat successful in her own way. A note tells us Mom stayed in cabin 42. The Silverstar was such an odd duck…You do not see much for her.
Beau Voyage book by JM Brinnin
Beau Voyage by JM Brinnin : Awesome photographic record of North Atlantic Liners from Brinnin in the mid 1970’s. From the images of the QM’s anchor chains laid out and ready for installation on page 20 , to the riveting photograph of passengers descending the staircase of the Ile de France into the post war dining room ( note the light fixtures reflected in the mirror )… the B/W images in this book do not disappoint … and quite a few are fairly uncommon in publication. The text is pretty engaging too. Great shape with a few minor tears to the dust jacket. 271 pages
Passenger Ships of the Atlantic Ocean booklet
Nice little booklet published by the Trans-Atlantic Passenger Ship Conference … in 1968. This great little booklet ws an obvious attempt to drum up business …. which was certainly waning by 1968 . Gret little history in a nutshell format … about 12 pages in length. Good solid shape with some age browning.
Ken Schultz Catalogue June 1988 #37
Ken Schultz Catalogue: A nice catalogue filled with merchandise for June 88. Ken credited himself with “starting” the Ocean Liner memorabilia business … and never, ever let anyone forget it! He usually bought some movie star’s knickers with his HUGE profits. None the less, his booklets are a fantastic reference for todays collectors. Funny toupee stories are still in active circulation at ocean liner events to this day
Prince of Fundy Playing cards
Prince of Fundy: Cute little set of unopened cards picturing the Prince of Fundy. This would have been a great onboard item to idle away the time to your destination.
Red Star Line: Playing cards
Red Star Line: Playing cards. Unusual and fairly rare set of cards for the RSL . The outline on the back of the cards would have been the 3 funnel Belgenland. She survived at RSL until being transferred to the Panama Line and then renamed Columbia. Still losing money there …she was quickly cut up for scrap.
Eastern Steamship Lines 1926 log booklet

Queen Of Bermuda menu card
Yum! The breakfast offered on this menu card from 1936 was pretty extensive. On my current diet …I”d be going for the fresh fruit. Great condition.
Queen Of Bermuda Foldout Deckplan
These are just about the best deckplans you can find for the QOB. This starts out as 8.5 x 11 and folds out to have 8 double sided sections. The huge plans cover almost 12 of these sections and 2 sections are devoted to the covers (great QOB image shown in a silvery hull) and 2 sections are devoted to QOB text! You can beat this baby!
