A great hardbound history book that traces the development and history of over 30 liners stating with the German Kaiser Wilhelm Der Grosse and ending with the Russian Aleksandr Pushkin. Of course all the big liners are covered Mauretania-Lusitania, Olympic-Titanic-Britannic, QM, Normandie , United States … but also some lesser knowns get attention like the Cap Arcona ,Felix Roussel, and Willem Ruys. The book ends with “tomorrow” a rather nice overview of cruise liners and the cruise industry.
