Reception invite from Commodore Geoffrey Marr that took place in the lounge and mid ships bar on April 12th 1968. The QE was quickly sailing toward withdrawal from service … the Mary was already retired. 56 years earlier the Titanic was almost in mid Atlantic. In great shape with envelope.
Great mini plastic model kit for the magnificent QE2 . Tiny scale 1;1200.. but very detailed and begging to be assembled. Rumors continue to swirl that the ship will return to some use in Dubai.
Great passenger list for the Albertic … on her june 21st 1930 voyage form Canada to Liverpool. One of the last White start ships , she was in the fleet only about a decade before being scrapped. Lovely route map cover in color. Unusual to find things from this cute little ship.
Great graphics and photos fill this awesome little brochure. It covers the mid 20’s fleet including the large and intermediate ships. all fold out pages include fleet pictures and or interior shots. I love the little drawing graphics too. One corner fold to the rear cover … in darn good shape for its age.
3 items related to Titanic:
A 7C’s like cutaway brochure with photos, an 8.5 x11 postcard reprint … suitable for framing, and an exhibition flyer for the Titanic. Interesting items for a Titanic Collector.
Nice set of 6 reprinted Cunard fleet comparisons featuring the Aquitania , Berengaria and Mauretania. These were probably done by 7c’s press … made popular by the Titanic Historical Society in the later 70’s and 80’s. Great fleet drawing (includes Anchor line ships) and I love the “Mauretania” pulling power sheet as well. Berengaria at Yankee Stadium is fantastic!
Lots of nice interiors info and photos on this fold out for the M@ … I would kill for a nice piece of furniture from her! good shape a little wear at the fold lines.
pristine and early set of playing cards from the QE2 … excellent shape ands still in the plastic wrappers.
Brand new box of QE playing cards … trimmed in gray. These are in excellent shape and perfect for your collection!
Really interesting full color interior fold out for the Green Goddess. Interestingly , this is done in yellow (and not green) and is enhances with great golden highlights. Outstanding color interior photos .. what I would not do to have some of that furniture! The covers do have some soil scuffs .. but the photos and details are awesome.
Lovely brochure describing the first class accommodations travelers can enjoy aboard the company’s various liners. … Including the Queens, Britannic , Caronia, M2 and others. Lovely QM artwork on the cover! Dates from the Late 40’s and in excellent condition!
Lovely brochure describing the TC accommodations travelers can enjoy aboard the company’s various liners. … Including the Queens, Britannic , Caronia, M2 and others Dates from the Late 40’s and in excellent condition!
Exceptional and Outstanding Brochure for the mini Lizzie! This would have been available at the time of her maiden voyage.. and is full of info an great renderings of her interiors. It does not get better than this one for the Mauretania 2! This brochure has an insert inside saying it was a prewar brochure for the ship .. and re issued post war. The Embossed cover is bound with a lovely red ribbon ..outstanding condition with just a minor little rip by the top ribbon.
Great and Interesting portfolio like brochure for the mighty Queen Elizabeth … fresh from her Post war refit. The cover is embellished detailed with gold script and a blood red background. Inside there are 2 pockets one with a booklet describing the 3 classes and one with Photos of her interiors. Her interiors were a little more restrained and refined than the QM .. a very lovely lady. This would have been one of the first post WW2 adverts .. and the first time the public really got to see her lovely interiors. Just outstanding condition.
Outstanding Brochure for these 2 little post war Ladies. One class, one funnel and one Screw … these gals had Cunard’s distinctive British Art Deco interiors. These gals were eventually sold off to other owners for other lives.
This outstanding booklet covers there interior spaces in detail .. exceptional!
Cool and very nautical ashtray for the beloved QE2. Made of brass and wood it is nicely done and a quality souvenir. Excellent condition with a great little crest at the center. This will display nicely!
Interesting folder for the Cunard Princess … chock full of passenger info and whatnot. Excellent cover picture and mini pics throughout. Great shape!
Great little souvenir dish for the last Carmania. After Cunard she has a long life for several owners. The dish has a great etched profile. Still has it old Bull/ Bear- Nautiques price tag on the back dating back to the days of Leon. … my price dropped a little. Nice condition with some marks from use!
Lovely smoked glass and gold letter dish Cunard’s little Countess. she had a pretty long cruising life … a fire ended her career as the ocean Countess under Greek ownership. Excellent condition.
Sumptuous foldout for the Mauretania 2 showing her ART Deco interiors. lovely cover graphics , ship info and gorgeous color interior photos make this a must have item! No date .. but probably from the mid 50’s, it’s in great shape.
Great little 1937 fold out for the SS Laconia! the excursion was a ploy to get folks to travel “back to the Homeland”. The ship was to sail from Boston 7/31/1937. 4 nice interior photos on the inside .. and Lynch’s portrait on the back cover with some writing. Just a few years later she would be sunk with a large loss of life in WW2.
Saved from the salvage yards of Alang comes this 3 piece vanity set. Though the 3 pieces come from different cabins , they can me refinished into a single vanity unit like what would have been fitted into one of the first/ cabin class staterooms. The veneers are just beautiful … very fully grained and visually outstanding. The construction of all 3 pieces is solid .. the pride of the cabinet fitters is still evident today. Love the handwritten construction and placement notes as well as the bases that were cut to conform to the ships deck shear. Like all furniture form the Ivernia/ Franconia I offer, these were saved by buddy Peter Knego when the ship was dismantled and cut up to feed the smelting furnaces of India. I will have to quote shipping .. the automatic calculator will not be accurate
Lovely folder for 1969 covering the Maiden Year for the Historic QE2. Lovely profile photo of her sailing on sunny seas. Pristine Crisp condition
Lovely folder for 1969 covering the entire fleet… of course the picture on the front and back are of the QE2 being her maiden year (or at least a model of her). Pristine Crisp condition!
Pristine set of TC deck plans for the Sylvania.. She as one of my favorites. Very nice descriptive deck plans and a number of BW Interior photos. New “out of the box” condition. She later was sold to Sitmar and others and had a very long life. Somewhat unusual to find TC plans for her.
