P&O Canberra Cruise Log July 1973
Great cruise log starting Sunday July 8 through Friday July 20th. Her top speed was 24.10 knots.
P&O Orient: Oriana Souvenir Ship’s Bell
Great souvenir bell for the Oriana… the brass bell is mounted on a cast iron anchor and includes the wonderful Oriana enameled seal. Excellent condition
P&O Orient: Chusan Souvenir Lifesaver
Popular and nice onboard souvenir … directly form the gifts hop. This has been repaired .. the photo shows the crack and priced accordingly.
P&O Orient: Canberra Early Renderings Brochure
The first extravagant brochure done for the then under construction Canberra. Just packed with excellent interior renderings and info about the new superliner to the land “down under”. There is some browning discoloration to the cover but the pages are great and filled with colorful renderings and a magnificent two page centerfold of the ship. Designed by Embassy Arts.
P&O-Orient Line SS Orcades Portrait tray.
I love these little souvenir trays you could only purchase on board .. great condition for this lovely corn yellow hulled ship. $18
P&O Lines: Orcades Heavy tissue Deckplan for March 1959
Great plan on very heavy paper. Covers all deck plans for first class services as well as a great profile.
Excellent condition with a little handwriting.
Orient Line: Green SS Orsova Tourist plan 8/56
Nice green plan for the Tourist areas of the Orsova… of course covers the accommodations and public rooms including the Sun Deck Pool.
P&O Arcadia Small Deckplan
Nice little deckplan printed on heavy tissue for the lovely white Arcadia. Though she was built exclusivity to sail to the land down under … she like most liners switched to cruising at least part of the time. This deckplan is in good shape.
Steamboat Bill: Summer 1979 Number 150
Great issue of the SSHSA’s steamboat Bill … lovely picture of the burned out Angelina Lauro on the front cover … and the Sea princess ( Ex-Kungsholm) on the back cover. Inside the are lots of different articles … the best is on the last voyage of PO’s Arcadia. Great shape with a little scuffing to the covers.
Princess Cruise Lines: Sun Princess Irish Linen Souvenir Towel
The first Sun Princess was originally P&O’s Spirit of London … but was quickly transferred to the budding princess fleet when P&O bought Princess cruises in the early 1970’s. Once the popular “Loveboat” series started filming onboard the fledgling Princess fleet … bookings soared! This Irish Linen hand towel is just in absolute pristine condition … probably purchased onboard during a cruise and kept in a drawer as a precious memento. Not a common towel to find at all!
P&O Oriana Model
A nice “new in the box and never opened” model for the lovely Oriana. I sure wish she was still around today. After her sailing life, she was off to the Orient for multi-use as a convention center etc. After springing a few too many leaks .. she was quietly stowed to the scrappers. How sad! I bought this model for a fun winter project … but alas I have way too may other projects that need attention!
P&O SS Canton Passenger list
Mint Janurary1962 passenger list for the Canton. Look at all the exotic destinations for these folks .. Bombay, Aden, Singapore etc. Crisp and nice … I’m sure it sat in a drawer for 40 years +.
