Incres Line: SS Nassau Premium Brochure.
One of the original post WW2 cruise ships … the Nassau started life as the Mongolia for P&O. After a few names and company changes … she was bought by Incres and transformed into quite a little gem of a tropical cruise ship. Though there were many hints of her prior life … Incres added modern furnishings in bright and tropical colors as well as amenities like a double swimming pool and offered 10000 feet of Lido deck area covered with deck chairs and umbrellas. She made a lot of cash and allowed Incres to expand with the Victoria later in the 50’s. Great condition and excellent color photos. There are a few page wrinkles. The colors are just delightful!
Cunard Line: Queen Mary Linen Tea towels.
One of the many things that came with the ship when she reached Long Beach that would make their way into the onboard gift shops were the tens of thousands of different linen items that were used during her service life. This towel does come with spots and signs of use … but is in overall great condition. You can just see “Cunard Line” woven into the thread designs .. as well as a little Cunard tag on the side. These are large approx. 18×30. Perfect for a Cunard or QM collection.
NCL: SS Norway Framed Cabin “Ship History” Sign
NCL used every marketing ploy available to keep the Norway booked to capacity throughout her life … and they did so in part by playing on the Ships History as the “France- last of the Great Transatlantic Liners”. A smart move on their part … it certainly added to the mystique of the great ship and probably kept folks coming back for more. These framed cabin plaques were used to explain that rich history and hung throughout all cabins onboard. These do have some signs of everyday wear and tear … but I can only believe a scant few must have been saved. Own your own piece of her history today! Shipping calculator will probably not be accurate. Id expect these t0 ship around $22 USD to the lower 48 states
