Lovely Logan Reavis cutaway brochure done for the Magnificent and Fast American Flagship. The cutaway takes one side of the foldout the other side has round picture of various public spaces and cabins followed by descriptive text and a lovely section dedicated to the ships speed and the story of the Hales trophy. I have several of these available (stock image).
Beautiful brochure for the 4 1930’s ships Lurline: Mariposa: Monterey and Matsonia. The first part of the brochure covers the routes of the 7 seas and the latter part walks us through the interiors of the 4 beautiful ships. The Lanai suites on these ships were quite luxurious. Unusual double centerfold one dedicated to the routes and one showing the Lurline in profile. New perfect condition.
Nice hard plastic souvenir for the lovely little Santa Maria . I sure liked these ships better when that had their smokestack added.
Made from hard plastic, note the tape is little loose and brittle, displays well!
Really nice deck plan folder don’t for the Gibbs designed Santa Paula and San Rosa in the early 1950’s. The success of these routes and cruises allowed Grace to expand in the 50’s and replace these 2 prewar ships with the Gibbs designed sister of the same manes in the very late 50’s ( 2 of my favorite little liners).
The USL marketing did amazing plans for the SSUS … and these for tourist class were done just as nicely as for the other classes onboard. The plans are color coded and the color pictures of rooms and accommodations are great! The cover color is a little toned and faded on this particular plan , but the insides are perfect!
Lovely Grace Sine fold out brochure …for trips through the Panama Canal. In excellent shape with great photos of the ships and the related geography.
Interesting series of 3 letters written on a fall 1925 voyage on the President Pierce. Some of the tone in the letters is pretty serious … some is lighthearted and Sprinkled with details of the voyage.
2 nice pieces for the Old Bay Line aka the Baltimore Steam Packet Company. These services covered the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac river routes .. and at the time were the oldest steamboat company in the US… services started in 1840! The City of Norfolk and City of Richmond were the last survivors … but would be soon retired.
Lovely Brochure folder for the lovely Sister Queens of the Great Lakes. Covers rates and sailing cruises for the entire 1959 season. These are by far my 2 favorite Great Lakes sisters. Excellent condition.
Great 30 Page or so brochure that describes a voyage on one of the Savannah line steamers . you could start in colder NYC and finish in the warmer southern climes of the US .. and of course do the cruise in reverse too!
Gold lettering on the cover and a great illustration of a steamer on the cover passing 2 tropical fishermen in a boat under a lovely palm. Lots of port info and onboard pictures. There is some discoloration around the staples but they are intact and strong. Lots of different rate info in the back to cities all over the south and eastern seaboard.
The sturdy America debuted just before WW2 and quickly was ushered into WW2 military service. After the ware she was out leading lady till her larger and faster consort (The SS Unites States) came on the Atlantic scene. This First class deck plan is delightfully colored and contains outstanding interior photographs … USL marketing sure knew their stuff. Absolute Excellent condition and very informative.
Lovely orange colored Stock certificate for 100 shares of USL stock. Love the detailed SS America graphic at the top .. very detailed and I’m sure quite expensive for USL to produce. A little wrinkle to the left edge .. this is in good condition!
Cool set of 10 onboard pictures featuring SPL’s SS Creole. Great “Edwardian” interior rooms, one exterior profile and one close up of the funnel .. there are 10 photos in all. Great Unusual item!
Excellent ticket and document folder graced with the America’s funnels. Bright R/W/B colors and great graphics .. this is in excellent condition. Would have been used to hold passenger tickets , travelers checks and other voyage documents.
Great photo jacket for these 3 handsome ships … would have held a photo take by the ship photographer that was sold or given to a passenger. Great shape with ship stats on the back … no photo inside.
These came with a lot of SS American items … though only stamped United States Lines. These are still soft and supple but do show signs of age including being folded.
Great little set of writing room items for the darling little US liner. A little discolored with age but pretty cool!
Excellent little log card for the America’s voyage to NYC from Southampton via Le Harve and Cobh. She crossed in 5 days 5 hours and 11 minutes … Fender was the captain!
Pristine post card for the SS America as she steams inbound toward NY harbor and past Lady Liberty. One of USL’s widely used images for the ship … and in great color.
Interesting set of Plastic model Instructions that would have come with A Pyro plastics model kit. I sure wish I had the model … the assembly instructions show up on both sides and are graphically interesting!
MIB double deck of card (one red / starboard and one green/ Port) set of card still sealed in plastic. Great plastic black box case with gold AE symbol on the top. Excellent condition
Covers the Indy. Connie, Atlantic, The Aces and some cargo liners for AE … Pretty succinct Excellent condition and graphically well done.
Lovely simple glass ashtray form a grace Line steamer. Grace is printed in Green on the bottom of the clear glass tray. Excellent shape!
Great Voyage issue (#16) that covers many things like Titanic news, J treasure Jones passing as well as a great article on the Grace’s last Santa Rosa and Paula. Great shape and fill of maritime great info!
Great little bar of Ivory soap from a Grace Line ship. great little item …stills smells fresh as the day it was made! There are a few rust stains to the paper wrapper
